4/25/2020: Emergency Food Drive

Updated: Jun 10, 2020

Thank you Indian Rocks Beach and the surrounding communities for the tremendous outpouring of food donations made on April 25, 2020. Spearheaded by the local groups Indian Rocks Beach Home Owner's Association, IRBHOA, and Indian Rocks Beach Action 2000, barrels were placed outside eight restaurants and businesses from 10 am to 4 pm. The response was overwhelming and the barrels had to be emptied a couple of times during the day by dedicated food pantry volunteers. IRBHOA also arranged to pick up food bags at people's home mailboxes since the usual Post Office Food Drive had been cancelled this year. The food collected will help stock the shelves of the food pantry for many weeks to come. Again, our thanks to our community and beyond for your generous spirit!

The Food Drive was a huge success and the pantry took in over 8,000 lbs. of food!
